In the spring of 1873, the SS Atlantic was on its way to New York, bringing a ship full of immigrants looking to start a new life across the pond. When terrible weather put their fuel supply at risk, the captain decided to stop in Halifax, a decision he’d come to regret. Listen in this week as we learn about this tragic ship.
